Emily Wolfe is set to play the Cactus Café on the 16th
By Jacob Stetson, 3:09PM, Wed. Feb. 13
Looking for some folksy tunes in a historical venue this Saturday? Singer/songwriter/guitarist Emily Wolfe will play the Cactus Café on Feb. 16th at 8:30 p.m.
Already opening up shows for the likes of Les Rav and Wild Child, Wolfe is a true musician who plays guitar, and she plays it well. A multi-instrumentalist with a knack for soothing melodies and graceful fret-work, Wolfe is an act to catch at the Cactus Café.
Wolfe graduated from St. Edwards in May of 2012, and has since been pursuing a music career including an album out now titled Director’s Notes. Wolfe is working on her next album with producer Mike McCarthy (Spoon, Patty Griffin, Heartless Bastards) anticipated to release in late summer.
Wolfe’s songs play with themes of young love and her lyricism has garnered attention in Austin as being “real”, an appreciable theme in modern music. Wolfe is also a good-looking young lady, which automatically makes the songs sound that much better. So quench those Valentines Day blues, or triumphs, with the music of Emily Wolfe.
