An April First Shot of Egerton
A Texas Book Festival happy hour puts Owen Egerton and free tequila on the menu

We've never much cared for April Fools Day – it's like a 24-hour cringe – but we might have to reverse our opinion based on the Texas Book Festival's upcoming April Fools Day Happy Hour, which ingeniously combines free tequila + the prankish Owen Egerton.
Fans of Austin funnyman Egerton – fiction writer, screenwriter, DadLab lad, Mister Sinuser, etc. – still have another month to wait for his debut novel The Book of Harold, the Illegitimate Son of God (Dalton Publishing), but in the meantime he will "share tidbits" from said novel at the TBF Happy Hour at El Arbol. Also on the menu: complimentary Argentinean appetizers and Republic Tequila.
The event runs 5:30-7:30pm, Thursday, April 1, at El Arbol (3411 Glenview). Space is limited, so be sure to RSVP here.
