In West Vancouver, they've put 2-D paintings in the streets of a girl chasing a ball. The paintings create a 3-D optical illusion and drivers slow down when they see them, much as they do for a speed bump. In 2008, Philadelphia did a similar thing, painting pictures of spikes.
