People used to sleep twice a night, according to Roger Ekirch of Virginia Tech. We used to sleep in two shorter periods, over a longer range of night. This range was about 12 hours long, and began with a sleep of 3-4 hours, wakefulness of 2-3 hours, then sleep again until morning.

The name "Oklahoma" comes from the Choctaw language and literally means "red man." "Ukla" means person, and "humá" means red.

The Wilhelm Scream is a recording of a man screaming, originally used in the 1951 film, Distant Drums, in a scene where a man is dragged underwater by an alligator. Since then, it has been used in more than 200 films including Star Wars and the Indiana Jones series. Originally voiced by Sheb Wooley, the sound is named after Private Wilhelm, a character in a 1953 western, The Charge at Feather River. Sheb Wooley also sang "The Purple People Eater."
