Can you feel it? Pride is coming.

SUNSET BILLS CAN BECOME XMAS TREES all lit up with spangley attachments and amendments that might be able to address agendas previously lost in bills now dead in the Texas Lege, according to Equality Texas' Chuck Smith. One such bill? House Bill 1323, Mark Strama's anti-bullying bill. Current status? "Neither party is covering themselves in glory on behalf of Texas school children. HB 1323 dies 11 bills out," according to a recent ET post. The 11th-hour actions to attempt to address any aspect of this and other lost bills are laid out for you to follow on the Equality Texas website (www.equalitytexas.org). And blogging (www.equalitytexas.typepad.com/blog) isn't fast enough, so ET is taking it to the Tweets (www.twitter.com/equalitytexas). For the most up-to-the-minute news about the status of Lege action on our behalf, check the ET sites. Now's also a great time to toss some scrilla their way and reserve your seat at the 2009 Texas "Sunrise" Brunch, happening Sun., June 7.
