grayDUCK Gallery: CORE, featuring Sodalitas

Say, who started the East Austin Studio Tour? Who started the Texas Biennial? Must've been two separate groups of progressive and obsessive admin types who'd never have time to create any art, and – hold on. This just in: It was actually one group, and regardless of the impressive organizing they've done, they – the trio behind Big Medium – Shea Little, Joseph Phillips, and Jana Swec – have such creative chops that even their major event-arranging talents pale in comparison. They're AKA Sodalitas, and this exhibition of their work features multimedia paintings, collage, and sculpture, and we recommend it highly. Through Oct. 14.
