The Contemporary Austin: Five x Seven

It's an almost ridiculously popular fundraising event, this shindig, and well worth attending – and this year they're off-siting the art and festivities to Brazos Hall, which downtown venue is 1) gorgeous in that industrially reclaimed urban way, and 2) perfect for this showcase of hundreds of small, affordable works of original art by already famed or up-and-coming locals in the scene. Bonus: Live music, fancy drinks, and catered noms in convivial swankitude. Recommended. Wed., April 2, 6:30 (2014). $150.

Brazos Hall, 204 E. Fourth, Austin, 512/380-1675
