Also that dozens upon dozens of Eastside artists' studios are open to the public for one more weekend (Sat.-Sun., Nov. 17-18, 10am-6pm) and there are special receptions and demonstrations and parties and general creative revelries going on in those studios – and galleries and pop-up shops – from before noon until, sometimes, beyond midnight. The movers and shakers at Big Medium started EAST years ago, have kept it going strong and expanded its parameters until the catalog for the damned thing is about as thick as phone books used to be. Co-Lab Space offers "Conspectus: Two Thousand Twelve," which is a look back at what Sean Galauger & company have hosted this past busy year, which is like half a rolling fuck-ton of fierce and strange projects from Lisa Choinacky, Jamie Panzer, Lee Webster, Russell Etchen, Shawn Camp, Morgan Coy, and many more. 613 Allen, 300-8217.

Abi Daniel @ Bearded Lady The Bearded Lady studio (much like fellow EASTers Industry Print Shop, Rural Rooster, and Obsolete Industries) is floor-to-ceiling with vivid limited-edition graphics – but we're especially anticipating Daniel's sublime show of pencil and mixed-media originals. 3504 E. Pump Project It's like a kind of alien hive of diverse artistry here, with Debra Broz, Brooke Gassiot, Mark Johnson, and J. Haley among several other killer bees making weird beauty from a surprising array of materials. 702 Shady, 351-8571.

The Artpit is where you'll find, among other things, Unhinge Artworks' Seth White working his eldritch skills upon raw metal – with a live fire demo on Saturday. 1428 Webberville Rd.

Artpost How can a single location contain such a bounty of creative industry and not go nova? That's one of the Eastside's enduring mysteries, exemplified here by the likes of Katy Horan, Cherie Weaver, Foster Talge, Sara Vanderbeek, Paul Oglesby, and more. 4704 E. Cesar Chavez, 917/519-2968.

Flatbed Press: Le Grand Salon This excellent show comprises more than 100 framed works on paper, providing a retrospective of the printmasters' acclaimed studio – with works by Terry Allen, Bob Schneider, Julie Speed, Michael Ray Charles, Liliana Porter, Randy Twaddle, James Surls, Kelly Fearing, Trenton Doyle Hancock, and more. And this is also where O2Gallery's located, with a show called Emergence: Transformation, featuring work by Jacqueline May, Tami Bone, Tina Weitz, and others. 2830 E. MLK, 477-9328.
