Synth by Southwest mashes everything we love about electronics in Austin, from twee to the all-out bizarre. Goth-synth fourpiece Feathers is the female answer to sinister New Wave kitsch. The femmes sneak in modern glitch to an Eighties synth jam, mashing the new and the old with reckless abandon. Upcoming The Blind Alley from Exit mixes aching ethereal jams, while starry aural acoustic echo from some far-off galaxy orbits one-man outfit Missions. The Nimbus and Fielded also perform.
