Lord Huron frontman Ben Schneider worked in the visual arts before he transformed into a folk-rock troubadour, which explains “The Stranger” video trekking through a frozen tundra in accompaniment of the Angelenos’ debut EP. The Arcade Fire-aspiring quartet then offered a full-fledged spaghetti Western for each track of 2012 initial LP Lonesome Dreams. Who knows what visual aids will decorate this two-night stand, but Schneider’s folk sensibility and tribal influences paint a stirring picture offscreen. – Abby Johnston
