An underground metal plague fostered by Neurosis’ Scott Kelly, Eyehategod’s Mike IX Williams, Nachtmystium’s Sanford Parker, and Yakuza’s Bruce Lamont, Corrections House promises four sets of noisy electronica (Parker), unaccompanied nihilist rants (Williams), brooding folk menace (Kelly), and an “end times collaboration” of all concerned. The collective’s debut single, “Hoax the System,” sounds like an industrial metal band brutalized by machine elves, so expect hydrochloric acid poured straight into your cortex.
