Fresh from one tour and onto another, eightpiece Brooklyn pop outfit Rubblebucket returns to Beauty Ballroom for the second time this year. June’s show was a flurry of giant dancing robots, crowd face painting, and a conga line led by chanteuse Kalmia Traver, all packaged by the unabashed joy that the band emulates. Touring with a band like Athens’ quartet Reptar, whose lead singer donned neon spandex for last year’s ACL show, we wouldn’t expect anything less for this go round.
