Having formed locally more than a decade ago, fearless instrumentalists My Education arrive at a turning point with A Drink for All My Friends. Previous discs found the band’s intensive approach levied by surprising collaborations, remixes, and dares, like soundtracking German expressionist F.W. Murnau’s 1927 silent film Sunrise: A Song of Two Humans. With its latest, the spotlight rests solely on the adventuresome group and the musical path that brought them here. – Adam Schragin
