Without a label and with his Young Criminal’s Starvation League on hiatus, Bobby Bare Jr. is now a solo act with a purpose. He’s got a fistful of new songs, so Nashville, Tenn.’s favorite son is ready to record. As has become increasingly popular, he’s taken to the Internet and his fan base to raise money for his next two projects. Nothing else has changed though. The anticipated teeth-gnashing, angst, and snot-nosed attitude prevails. – Jim Caligiuri
