“The emotional tone of this record is a lot colder than our first,” explains Maurice Chammah, violinist for local indie-pop orchestra Mother Falcon, which hatched its second LP, You Knew, this week. “It’s worried sounding, paranoid, and fraught with tension – a grittier recording where you can hear the bow on the strings or a mouth on a horn.” The black-clad big band takes flight outside at the Belmont with the Lost Bayou Ramblers and Hello Wheels.
