When we weren’t looking, local songsmith Jeff Klein built up a résumé that includes Greg Dulli’s Twilight Singers and Gutter Twins, and now he brings it all back home to his moody rock combo My Jerusalem. Part brooding romanticism, part existential threat, MJ’s second LP Preachers gained enough traction to put the band on the road with the Wallflowers, the Psychedelic Furs, and (later this month) X.
