Hawaii’s sharply dressed man, Bruno Mars, re-ups his R&B gold status with second LP Unorthodox Jukebox, which dropped in December. With his once-in-a-generation croon and the writing chops to back it up, he slips smoothly from powerful love anthems to reggae-tinged hits. Mars’ second LP is a different story than 2010 debut Doo-Wops & Hooligans, which wove compelling romance, whereas Jukebox drops from a more jaded artist who’s spent years in the jungle. – Nina Hernandez
