Congress Avenue & Town Lake

Party above North America’s largest bat colony on the Congress Avenue Bridge this Saturday. More than just face-painting booths and crafts vendors, Bat Fest boasts live bands on two big stages from 4pm to midnight. While the 1.5 million Mexican free-tailed bats won’t swarm out until approximately 7:15pm, San Antonio’s thrill rockers the Heroine (5) give you reason to show up early. Later, Red Dirt natives Reckless Kelly (7:30), local hip-hop dynamo Zeale (8), Willie Nelson scion Lukas (9), and deep indie rockers Quiet Company (9:30) keep things rolling until Southern outlaw Hank Williams III (10:30) and the OlmsPete Yorn and J.D. King – (11) cap it off.
