Last week at its Austin City Limits taping, the Lumineers bested Mumford & Sons. The Grammy-winning UK folkers’ ACL set last year played out listless, and while this Denver trio – a fivepiece live – wouldn’t get identified in a police lineup, (especially in their Twenties garb) every single song strummed out a winner, including the new “Duet.” The folk revival continues going viral, same as the alt.country scare of the Nineties, but the Lumineers already transcend it.– Raoul Hernandez
