Paper Cuts: The Preservation
The whole remains greater than the sum of its parts for this local Dr. Dog-inspired sextet that boasts three lead singers, two Matteolis (longtime Weary Boy Mario and crooning wife Cayce), and one adventurous debut LP in last October’s Two Sisters. Recently, the band entrenched itself within Danny Reisch’s East Austin studio, to finalize another EP, much of which you’ll hear played live at the Chronicle’s free Paper Cuts series.
