Austin Film Festival: POV Docs: All the Difference

Two promising young men from high-risk communities in Chicago were filmed for more than five years – during their last year of high school and all four years of college – while the filmmaker examines the factors that helped contribute to their success.

Veronica Roberts, curator of modern and contemporary art at the Blanton Museum of Art, and curator of the exhibition Converging Lines: Eva Hesse and Sol LeWitt, will introduce the film.

For its 40th anniversary, this hard-to-find relic has been restored and remastered. Filmed in 1975 in Austin and Nashville, this documentary captures relaxed footage of the then-completely unknown songwriting artists and performers Guy Clark, Townes Van Zandt, Rodney Crowell, Steve Young, Steve Earle, and others.
