You might want to try to get someone to cover your shift at whatever night-time day job you're working, if necessary, so you can hear this Saunders presenting his newest collection, Tenth of December, because he's about as good as it gets, warped-perspective short-story-wise, since DFW's been gone, and you're unlikely to read any other fiction that's more 1) entertaining, 2) deeply considered, and 3) evocative of what it's like to be a fucking human being.
