Blazing Saddles

Blazing Saddles

1974, R, 93 min. Directed by Mel Brooks. Starring Mel Brooks, Cleavon Little, Gene Wilder, Harvey Korman, Madeline Kahn, Slim Pickens, David Huddleston, Alex Karras, Dom Deluise.

REVIEWED By Marjorie Baumgarten, Thu., Nov. 9, 2000

Brooks’ early reputation as a film director rests with the success of this raunchy Western spoof. A great cast is eclipsed by the hilarious performances of Korman and Kahn, who plays a Marlene Dietrich-like chanteuse.
