This is one of the great teen romance movies: It’s Romeo and Juliet played out between an L.A. punk rocker and a Valley girl. Nicolas Cage has hardly ever been more soulful than in his performance here, and as the hippie parents Colleen Camp and Frederic Forrest are a genuine hoot.
