Austin Icon Awards

There's few things Austinites like to do more than celebrate Austin, so let's do it. Four locals will be declared "icons" including Richard Linklater and John T. Kunz. And, of course, there will be barbecue, local drinks, and live music just on the off-chance that the event isn't Austin-y enough. Fri., Sept. 9, 6:15-10pm (2011). $25 ($75, VIP).
