Austin Trail of Lights

Still bright and free after all these years. Every day has live entertainment, myriad photo ops, and, of course, funnel cake. Go online for a schedule of shuttles and other transpo options. You can pay online for parking or a pass that lets you cut everyone in line. Bike racks will be available for your pedal pushers. Every day through Dec. 21, 7-10pm. Free.

Buda Trail of Lights

Local businesses, churches, and organizations will be replete with holiday lights and decorations so come out and get a good look. Shuttles are available at the nearby Cabela's if you want to avoid the parking hassle. Fri.-Sun., Dec. 12-14 & 18-21, 6-10pm. Free.

Building Extreme Weather Resiliency for Transportation Infrastructure

Noted speakers from around the state will convene to discuss assessing the vulnerability of our transportation infrastructure to an increase in extreme weather events and envisioning a path forward to increased resiliency. 1-5pm.

Holiday Model Train Exhibit

Call for Platelet Donors

The supply of platelets has fallen to an unsafe level. Anyone who is able is urged to make a platelet donation appointment as soon as possible. Platelet donation may be done every 7 days or 24 times per year. The entire process from the time a donor walks through the doors until they leave is approximately 1 to 1.5 hours. Call to make an appointment. Open seven days a week.
