Texas Independent Film Network: Texas Filmmakers Showcase

The Houston Film Commission presents short films from the international film-festival circuit that were homegrown in Texas. Filmmakers will be in attendance. The titles include "Cork's Cattlebarron" by Eric Steele, "The Garden and the Wilderness" by Craig Whitney, "Hellion" by Kat Candler, "Little Lions" by Tony Costello, "Vincent Valdez: Excerpts for John" by Angela and Mark Walley, and "Vultures of Tibet" by Russell Oliver Bush.

  • Open Submission: Insect Art

    Because, for the first time in its 60-year history, the Entomological Society of America is having its annual meeting in Austin. And Art.Science.Gallery. and ARKive.org and the E. O. Wilson Biodiversity Foundation will present an exhibition of entomology-relevant art, juried by Barrett Klein and Hayley Gillespie, and they'll be glad if you submit three of your best works for consideration.
