  • Cinemark Classics: American Graffiti

Once upon a time in what seems like a galaxy far, far away, George Lucas knew how to tell stories about real people in real settings. He hit one out of the ballpark with the magnificent American Graffiti, whose prescient use of a before-they-were-stars cast and interwoven stories made this filmmaker seem like one of the great hopes of modern cinema. Teen tales don’t get much better than this.

2PM and 7PM, Cinemark Hill Country Galleria 14, 12812 Hill Country Blvd., Bee Cave

  • Summer Film Classics: Hitchcock Week: Dial M for Murder

Originally filmed in 3-D, this Hitchcock thriller centers on a man's plot to kill his wife and the police investigation that ensues. (Double bill: To Catch a Thief.)

    9:15PM, Paramount Theatre, 713 Congress
