'Dazed & Confused' 20th Anniversary Screening Set
Can we still rock & roll all night with arthritic knees?

We already knew the cast and crew of Richard Linklater's long-day's-journey-into-beer-busted-night classic Dazed and Confused were reuniting at the Texas Film Hall of Fame Awards to accept the film's Star of Texas Award. But now we know the party's going to start a day early.
The Austin Film Society has set two Dazed and Confused screenings with for Wednesday, March 6. Writer/director Richard Linklater will be joined at the event by select cast members Joey Lauren Adams, Cole Hauser, Christin Hinojosa, Parker Posey, Anthony Rapp, Marissa Ribisi, Michelle Burke Thomas, Mark Vandermeulen, and Wiley Wiggins. The reunion shows will be held at Marchesa Hall & Theatre, and supplemented by Q&As and – for VIP ticket holders – a party with the stars from 8pm to midnight.
Tickets go on sale to AFS members on Friday, Feb. 15 at noon, and to the general public on Thursday, Feb. 21. General admission seats ($20 for AFS members/$40 for nonmembers) guarantee you a cash bar with drink specials, regular setting for the screening and Q&A, and red carpet gawking privileges. The bump-up to VIP tickets ($40 for AFS members/$70 for nonmembers) includes access to the party with complimentary refreshments and "signature cocktails" (beer bong, anyone?), as well as preferred seating to either the 7pm or 9:30pm show.
In the meantime, you can start riding that nostalgia train now by taking a look back at our Dazed and Confused 10th anniversary piece, which included a roundup of all the film's then-fresh-faced youngsters who graduated to bigger (if not always better), like Matthew McConaughey, Ben Affleck, and Renee Zellweger.
