Trailer Park is getting a late start today – here's to closing down the Chronicle's annual SXSW Film Party! – which provides nice segue to the first of today's trailers.
Despite having moved in the same film circles for years now, we only just met Austin documentarian Heather Courtney last night at the La Zona Rosa party. Courtney's latest, Where Soldiers Come From, is playing in the documentary competition category, and we hear its first screening was rapturously received. It screens again today at the Alamo Lamar at 2:30 (better hoof it!) and Saturday, March 19, 2:30 at the Paramount. And be sure to check out the Chronicle's interview with Courtney in the upcoming Saturday daily.
Staying on the war tip: Danish documentary Armadillo screens again tonight, 7pm, at Westgate. After its premiere, the Chron's Marc Savlov tweeted: "Best war doc ever? Could be."
