Hey there, the Hustle here, back from a much needed breather. But proving there’s no rest for the weary, Formula One is still speeding along, after the council’s 5-2 vote to enter into the state’s Major Events Trust Fund. The Hustle has the deets below the fold.

Today, the board of the Circuit Events Local Organizing Committee holds their first meeting. The powers bestowed on CELOC were the subject of much scrutiny when council entered into the agreement.

CELOC’s first meeting is occurring this afternoon at the offices of Armbrust and Brown, firm of F1/CELOC attorney Richard Suttle. Here’s the agenda:

… In other racing news, Michael King noted that the lawsuit brought against comptroller Susan Combs, seeking to prohibit her from dispersing funds to F1, had been tossed out. Somehow, the Hustle doesn’t think we’ve seen the last legal challenge surrounding F1, though …
