
Board members are jointly appointed by the city and country, and the recent retirement of Board Secretary Bobbie Barker means the City Council has an appointment to make. Once approved by council, the appointee would serve until the end of 2013.
Applications for the vacancy are due Friday April 8, 5pm, and must come from Austin residents. You can access the application online here.
Between the gradual implementation of health care reform and budget slashing at the state level certainly impacting previous budget cuts, it's certainly an interesting time (in the Chinese proverb sense) to join Central Health, so why not give it a shot?
