Local trio enflames Red 7 tonight with the Sword

Smoke ’em if you got ’em. (by Shelley Hiam)

Tuesday night, I dropped in on the American Sharks just in time to catch the hard-charging local stoner rock trio buying a new band van and collecting cash from their new label, The End Records.

After I snooped around their pad a bit, we talked about their self-titled debut album, out September 19, how they scored a record deal, and the band’s upcoming tour with the Sword. Turns out they have a strange fascination with Canada. We feel the same about the Sharks. Take a peek into the world of these rising Austin stars.
