The Good Music Club Part 2: Quiet Company
Last week, Earache debuted the first video drop from The Good Music Club. For the second installment in our weekly series of TGMC visuals, we spotlight one of last Thursday's initial four acts. The one on our cover this week.
That first TGMC taping at the ND last month was one part Free Week live music sampler and three parts music/film/interactive festival. All the bands rose to the occasion, but as headliners, Quiet Company had the last word. And believe me, the band's frontman Taylor Muse has lots of 'em. As he hunched over his keyboards, in the throws of honest to goodness rock & roll fervor, he reminded me of no less than Nick Cave, blonder but possessed of the same Miltonesque heaven and hellfire.

Next Sunday, Feb. 26, with doors at 6pm and show at 7pm, TGMC holds its second taping at the ND, this time featuring the Calm Blue Sea, Guns of Navarone, the Blind Pets, and Hello Wheels. It's free. Those performances will generate more grist for this particular mill, but in the meantime there's lots more video from the MLK day show. This week there's three videos from Quiet Company, who headline inside at Stubb's next Friday, Feb. 24.
