Mozart’s Free Holiday Light Show on Lake Austin

The new and improved 12-minute show features over 150,000 LED lights, dancing snowmen, angels, and a burnt orange Bevo all synchronized with holiday tunes.

It plays at the top of every hour from 6pm- midnight every day until January 1, 2013. Offering on-site roasted coffee, hot chocolate, tea, and baked goods for 19 years and counting, Mozart’s Coffee Roasters is a local lakefront favorite. Their enormous patio and welcoming interior make a great spot to hang out and enjoy this unseasonably warm December with friends and family.

Mozart’s also created a handy map of some of the best Christmas light displays around the city, available at AustinChristmasLightsMap.com. And what’s Christmas without a little friendly competition? Mozart’s and Hula Hut are sponsoring a photo contest seeking entries “All About Texas Christmas Lights.” Entries are due December 18 and prizes will be awarded December 20. ‘Tis the season, y’all.
