The BBQ with Franklin web series is set to debut October 25, but KLRU kicks off an Indiegogo campaign today to raise $16,000 to support production of the show. No doubt there will be delicious donor thank-you gifts for this project.

Barbecue fans will finally have the opportunity to learn about the art of smoking meat from the Austinite whose skill with briskets has made him one of the most famous pitmasters in the country.

The 8-part series will provide step-by-step instruction on creating delicious backyard barbecue, everything from building and curing a pit to picking the right wood and building a clean fire, as well as choosing, trimming, and seasoning meats.
