Glow in the Dark Like a Douchebag with Converse

By Anne Harris, 9:53PM, Mon. Dec. 6, 2010

Maybe the creatives at Converse all sat up in bed one night with a revelation. "The sunglasses collection is boring!" This is true, but at least it's not their idea of "wacky" either. Well, just in time for a wacky (but practical) Christmas comes the newest facewear addition:  Glow-in-the-dark shades!

Described by Converse as "unconventional frames that have the appearance of frosted ice during the day", at night they "emit a captivating pale citrus glow for prowling the city streets." I don't know about your friends, but mine probably only prowl for cheap beer, silent on their Converse rubber soles. Converse says you, too, could look like Corey Feldman circa 1985 and reel 'em in on Saturday night. Maybe you'll still have a shred of cred when you tell anyone that's still listening that they're Converse All-Star shades from the new collection. And if he still just won't notice you, you could probably put down your drink and do Morse code with your hand-milled phosphorescent acetate Converse facial accessory.
