Renegade Craft Fair Comes to Austin

Renegade Craft Fair kicks off the 2010 season with its first-ever stop in Austin on May 15-16 at the Palmer Events Center. Seven years after its inception at Chicago's Wicker Park in 2003, it has expanded to include stops in Brooklyn, San Francisco and Los Angeles as well.

The two-day Austin event will feature more than 150 artists from around the country, as well as workshops with Austin Craft Mafia, Etsy, Public School, Stitch Lab, and the WonderCraft. There will also be a free photobooth and music from the Minor Mishap Marching Band and Shotgun Party. Two days is barely enough to take it all in, so check out the artists page here and start planning your attack on this sprawling event.

For Chicago lovers, there is now an actual brick and mortar Renegade Handmade store where the wares of more than 300 artists is stuffed under one roof. It's located in Wicker Park, of course, and online for those of us in the provinces.
