Live From Dealey Plaza

EarthCam spies that fateful spot, 50 years from that fateful day

There's a thin line between morbid curiosity and deep homage, and the EarthCam does not discriminate.

Sixth Floor. Window closed.

From the sniper's perch (or, okay, for those of you not buying the official Warren Report party line: "one of the alleged snipers' perches") denizens of the web may view the Dealey dealings of this famous day.

Yes, the Sixth Floor Museum in Dallas has partnered with EarthCam, an around-the-world-in-a-click website featuring webcam content from bird's-eye-view views across the planet. With a simple click, one may position oneself right at one's favorite visually compelling destination -- in this case, that spot on the sixth floor.

We're unclear as to what time on Friday, Nov. 22 this thing goes live, and we're not sure how long it will stay up (24 hours?), but hey, it's not like you haven't clicked the crap out of something just for the sheer heck of it ever before.

As of late Thursday evening, the time of this posting, the cam is running archival footage of Dealey from some recent day gone by. But keep clicking! It's sure to go live and sate your somber and reverential (or totally creepy) thirst (addiction) for (to) knowledge (surveillance).
