If Book Jackets Could Walk, and Woo
Spike Jonze collaborates on stop-motion short

We always thought books were living things.
"Mourir Auprès de Toi" ("To Die By Your Side") is a new-ish short by Spike Jonze, Olympia Le-Tan, and Simon Chan (it actually played at this year's Cannes, but it's just now making the rounds online). Its live-action beginning is set at Paris' famous Shakespeare & Co. bookstore, but when the workday ends, the book jackets spring to stop-motion action. Very cute, in a horndog kinda way.
