Alamo Drafthouse

The Drafthouse may have been named Entertainment Weekly's "Best Theater in the Nation," but how does that stack up to the annual nod given by the loyal readers of The Austin Chronicle? Anyway, could you possibly imagine a better theatre? Maybe 50 years in the future, when theatres offer immersive, interactive technologies and in-house massages. But, you know, that theatre will probably be the Drafthouse. And if National Geographic were to make a documentary about the human courtship ritual, it would offer scenes of the first date: the meal, the entertainment, and the dark corner for making out. What place better combines all three than our own Alamo Drafthouse? If you go, you might even be able to see that documentary.
